Hi, I’m Mike, a UK filmmaker based in North West England. My work spans writing, directing, producing and post-production, with a particular focus on psychological, character-driven stories.

 

I began my career in theatre before transitioning into filmmaking, training at Pinewood Studios and Raindance in London. I gained early industry experience working as an assistant on productions for Netflix, Amazon, ITV, BBC and Sky, before being mentored by Roy Boulter and Sol Papadopoulos at Hurricane Films in Liverpool. In 2023, I was selected for the BFI Creative Producer Programme.

 

I currently have two short films on the film festival circuit. Occupied, which I wrote, directed and produced, was selected for the BAFTA-qualifying Bolton International Film Festival. I also produced the BFI-funded short Cass and Roya, which was selected for the BAFTA-qualifying Women X Film Festival.
